About 2016 TrendForce Annual IT Industry Forecast Conference
The prospects for optoelectronics and semiconductor sectors during the second half of 2015 dims due to uncertainties in the global economy and the below expected sales of consumer electronics, such as mobile devices and PCs. As challenges mount for traditional product sales model and shipment growth, branching out into different application markets will become the future trend. The Internet of Things (IoT) in particular is currently hot topic in the semiconductor sector with smart handheld devices being the key to the development of various aspects of intelligent and connected living. Products encompassing wearable devices, virtual reality, household appliances and smart electric vehicles will see cutting-edge innovations. Developments in robotics and Industry 4.0 will also kick off the next industrial revolution that will bring radical new changes to everyday life in the future.
TrendForce and Topology Research Institute (TRI) are proud to announce the 2016 TrendForce Annual IT Industry Forecast Conference. This conference will address how the IoT with its unlimited potentials will shape the courses of the tech industries. The event will feature a team assembled from TrendForce’s five major research divisions – DRAMeXchange, WitsView, LEDinside and EnergyTrend – as well as TRI for the first time.
