He now serves as a VP in EPISTAR. He has extensive knowledge in LED structure design, LED process, LED application and heat dissipation design with 376 patents over the world. He completed his PhD in power mechanical engineering in NTHU in Dec 1993. He previously worked in Highlight Optoelectronics Inc. as a R&D section chief in 1996. He joined EPISTAR in 1998. His formal position in EPISTAR includes manger in AlInGaP, director in R&D Labs and AVP in R&D centers.

Dr. RC Liang is currently the Chairman of Trillion Science, a start-up founded by him in the Silicon Valley in 2005 before he took the assignments as CTO of Delta Electronics and Chairman & CEO of DelSolar.

Prior to Trillion Science and Delta Electronics, he served as cofounding President & CTO of SiPix Imaging, CA (1999-2004); Research Fellow and Program Director, Polaroid Corp., MA (1990-1999); Research Fellow & Group Manager, Mead Corp., OH (1986-1989) and Research Assistant Professor, Imaging Inst., Polytech Univ., NYC (1984-1986; Now NYU Poly).

RC holds a Ph.D. degree in Polymer Sci. & Eng. from Polytech Univ., a MS degree in Chemistry from Nation Taiwan Univ. and a BS degree in Chemistry from National TsingHua Univ., Taiwan. He has authored more than 175 US Patents and 36 journal and proceeding publications mainly in the areas of Green Energy, Display, Imaging, Printing, Polymer and Nano Technologies.

Mr. Lu is a RD director in Vive of HTC. He has rich experience in IC/system design including LCD driver, multimedia and mobile phones. His specialty is new technology evaluation, business model development, strategic planning and consumer behavior analysis.

He has a master degree in EMBA from Nation ChengChi University ,and a BS degree from National TsingHua University, Taiwan. He has authored Patents in HMD, storage media and software applications.

Dr. Yun-Li Charles Li received his Ph. D. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA) with Prof. Fred Schubert in 2003. Dr. Li’s research work focused on gallium nitride (GaN) light-emitting devices and solid state lighting applications.

Dr. Li is currently CEO and co-founder of PlayNitride, Inc., a fabless manufacturer for GaN-related industry, especially for optoelectronics. PlayNitride provides ODM services of PixeLED^TM technology for applications of next generation display industry.

PixeLED^TM technology has potential for high performance, power efficient, and real flexible displays. This technology can cover not only existed display applications, but also can enable different applications. PixeLED^TM technology gives very high resolution, high contrast ratio, fast response, and very low power consumption.

Mr. Byron Liang with the position of China marketing manager in Osram opto semiconductors (China), take the role of developing LED display market in China, is one of core members in driving China display wall business.

Mr.Byron Liang joined Osram opto in 2013, engages in LED products’ application in industry market, take lead to innovate in the illumination of white goods, High power traffic lights, blackbody LED application in China display wall, Push forward local companies’ products upgrade and technology innovation.

Mr.Byron Liang graduated from Xi`an Polytechnic University, work nearly 20 years in the semiconductor field with technical, marketing roles.

Dr. Christopher (Chris) A. Bower is the Chief Technology Officer at X-Celeprint Limited, a company founded to develop and commercialize advanced micro assembly technologies. He was formerly a Technical Manager at Semprius, Inc., where he led the team responsible for micro-transfer-printing and wafer-level-packaging of advanced microscale solar cells. His past experience includes three years of research and development on three-dimensionally integrated circuits at RTI International and four years of research on nanotechnology and photonics devices at Bell Labs and InPlane Photonics, Inc. Chris received a Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 2000, where his graduate studies focused on the synthesis and novel properties of carbon nanotubes. His interests include three-dimensional integration of integrated circuits, heterogeneous integration of compound semiconductors onto non-native substrates and the fabrication of low-cost, large-format electronics using novel assembly methods.

Mr. Kerry Huang leads the team, Technical Marketing, of Macroblock Inc. He is in charge of planning products, marketing, and defining corporation strategy. Kerry owns 8 patents in the US, Taiwan, and China. He received his MBA from National Taiwan University and master’s degree in engineering from National Tsing Hua University.

Ivan-Christophe Robin is a strategic marketing manager at Leti with an expertise in photonic devices. He has served on roughly 30 conference science committees and holds a portfolio of 20 patents. Dr. Robin joined Leti’s Optronics Department, Grenoble, in 2006, where he worked on IR detectors, solar cell structures, ZnO- and GaN-based LED systems, organic/inorganic heterojunctions, GaN/ZnO heterojunctions, InGaN/GaN nanowires and LED structures.

He received his undergraduate degree in physics and “aggregation” from Ecole Normale Superieure, Lyon, in 2001, and his master’s degree from the Pierre-et-Marie-Curie University, Paris-VI in 2002. After being awarded a PhD degree in 2005 from the University Joseph Fourier, Dr. Robin worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, where he studied oxide growth for infrared (IR) solid-state laser fabrication.

Dr. Y. H. FANG received his PHD degree (2008) at National Taiwan University. He has been in ITRI since 2008. In this period, he focused on the topic of GaN substrate growth / UV LED on GaN substrate / GaN on Si for power device. For now, he is focusing on the technology of micro-LED from epitaxy, high accuracy process, batch transfer, mass detection, and system design. The micro-LED team he leading is to achieve 1984 PPI of monochrome, 440 PPI of R/G/B color, 99.9 % yield of batch transfer, and innovation system design (hybrid integration of LED and sensor).

Roger Chu oversees the Green Energy Business Unit of TrendForce Corp., and specializes in market research on the LED industry, including end-product makers ranging from LED components, lighting, backlight to manufacturers. Additionally, he also handles the research on batteries in the Green Energy Business Unit. Mr.Chu once was an analyst at DRAMeXchange. He also worked for Hua Nan Securities as an analyst and Qunmao Management Consulting Company as a management trainee. His previous research scope covered DRAM, packaging and testing as well as other electronic industries.Mr.Chu graduated from the Graduate Institute of Finance, Chaoyang University of Technology.
