Development of High Performance Display with PixeLEDTM Technology (Outline) |
Li, Yun-Li (Charles), Ph. D., CEO |
PlayNitride |
Micro-LED display enabled by PixeLEDTM technology has potential for most power efficient, highest performance, and real flexible displays. Although micro-LED display can provide fast response, high contrast ratio and low power consumption with high resolution, the main challenges with micro-LED displays are transferring the devices from substrate to the display, testing and repair.
In this presentation, micro-LED display with PixeLEDTM technology will be briefly introduced and demonstrated.

Inorganic Micro LEDs for Smart Lighting and Display Applications (Outline)
|
Ivan-Christophe Robin,
Photonic Devices Expert - Strategic Marketing Manager |
Leti |
The internet of things bring a new paradigm. Much brighter micro displays than the current technologies are needed for the development of nomadic devices such as smart glasses for augmented reality, smart watches, but also head up displays in automotive. The LED lighting developments are also now driven by the emergence of smart lighting.
A monolithic LED array technology has been developed at CEA LETI with GaN µLEDs reported on a silicon active matrix. The interest of this technology for augmented reality and smart lighting applications will be discussed and the challenges for the different technological bricks (front end, hybridization, packaging) will be presented.
